Smokefree for 27 years

27 year ago Mr and Mrs Fowler had a new large fireplace installed in their house in Bradwell-on-Sea, they suffered from smoke in their living room every time the fire was lit. 

Their architect said that the problem was caused because the fireplace was too large for the chimney, so they tried down-sizing the fireplace, without success.  They also tried fitting an H-cowl, still without success.  So the architect recommended an Exhausto chimney fan system. 

Late summer 2007, when the chimney fan system needed routine maintenance the engineer working on it discovered that it had been installed in 1980 – twenty-seven years ago - and had worked without problem ever since until now.
